NEWON STUDIO · IP EXPERIMENTAL IP
Make what does not exist yet —
small, fast, and testable.
We quickly prototype new characters, worlds, digital content, interactive ideas, and brand experiments as small builds.
Instead of locking a finished answer first, we visualize the core hypothesis, make it showable, then decide next steps from response and potential.
Not brainstorming alone —
a creative experiment that tests new IP and experience potential in real form.
OVERVIEW
Not every IP needs to begin
as a finished world.
Even with a character or content idea, it is hard to know up front whether people will care, which form fits best, or how far it can expand.
That is why small experiments come before large production.
Newon Experimental IP reviews new IP and content experiences through Idea → Hypothesis → Concept → Prototype → Test → Learn → Next.
We do not build a finished large project first — we implement the core idea in its smallest form, make a showable result, then judge expansion potential.

PROBLEMS
Experimental IP helps in situations like these.
IDEA BUT NO FORM
There is an idea — but no clear form.
Character, content, service, or world ideas exist without a concrete artifact.
TOO EARLY TO BUILD BIG
It is too early to build large.
You want to check core potential before full animation, game, merch, or service production.
NO CLEAR FORMAT
The content format is undecided.
You need to explore whether the IP fits webtoon, short-form, game, app, social, or another form.
NEED DIFFERENTIATION
You need a different approach.
Brand or product wants experimental expression beyond existing campaign and content formats.
IP EXPANSION
You want to expand an existing character or world.
Review potential before moving into a new platform, format, or interactive experience.
CONCEPT VALIDATION
The idea only lives inside the team.
It exists as talk or docs — you need a prototype you can see and judge.
NEW CULTURAL IDEA
You want to test a new cultural format or experience.
Digital culture, AI, community, game, character, social — exploring a combined new form.
EXPERIMENT PRINCIPLES
Principles behind a strong experiment.
HYPOTHESIS-DRIVEN
Hypothesis-driven
Define what the experiment is meant to learn first.
SMALL
Small
Build the minimum scope that can test core potential — not the whole thing first.
FAST
Fast
Make a showable form quickly instead of explaining the idea forever.
DISTINCTIVE
Distinctive
Explore new expression instead of repeating familiar formats.
TESTABLE
Testable
After seeing the result, the next direction should be judgable.
EXPANDABLE
Expandable
If the experiment is promising, structure should allow larger IP, content, or product expansion.
LEARNABLE
Learnable
Success alone is not enough — what you learned must feed the next step.
BRAND / CULTURE FIT
Context fit
Even experimental expression should make sense for brand, people, and culture.

IDEA → IP · PROTOTYPE
An idea is not IP —
and prototype levels differ.
Experimental IP is not only making a clever idea — it checks whether a structure can repeat and expand.
Not every project goes to the highest interactive prototype level. We choose the level that fits experiment goal and budget.
Instead of dozens of characters and complex lore first, we can review potential around core character + rule + conflict.
IDEA → CHARACTER / WORLD
From a spark to a presence and setting you can show repeatedly.
RULE · FORMAT
Consistent behavior rules and the content form people actually experience.
REPEATABILITY · EXPANSION
A structure that can continue, and potential to grow across channels and products.
LEVEL 01 — CONCEPT
Concept prototype — mood, story, character, visual sketched quickly.
LEVEL 02 — VISUAL
Visual prototype — character sheet, key visual, story scene you can see.
LEVEL 03 — CONTENT
Content pilot — short-form, social post, mini episode closer to real content.
LEVEL 04 — INTERACTIVE
Interactive prototype — simple web / app / game interaction people can try.
CHARACTER · MOTIVATION
Core personality / visual and what the character wants.
CONFLICT · WORLD RULE
Conflict that creates story, and rules the world must keep.
RELATIONSHIP · CONTENT HOOK
Relationships and a content hook people may return to.
AI · INTERACTIVE · FORMAT
Experiment AI, interactive, social, game,
and new formats in small form.
AI output quality, consistency, safety, external API cost, and policy can change with the implementation environment.
Not every interaction is in base scope.
Social-first IP can test character and format repeatability in small units — without guaranteeing views, followers, or virality.
Game concepts are prototypes that test core fun and IP connection — not full game development.
A strong format has repeatable rules so new content can continue without starting from zero each time.
AI CHARACTER · MEMORY
Characters that respond in conversation or context, and experiences linked to prior interaction when needed.
PERSONALIZED · GENERATIVE
Stories that shift with choice, and generative results as part of the IP experience.
DYNAMIC WORLD · CO-CREATION
Worlds that change with input and action, plus structures where people help create.
INTERACTIVE EXAMPLES
Choice story, mini game, personality test, character chat, collection, challenge, community vote, and more — selected by scope.
SOCIAL-FIRST FLOW
Character / Idea → Short Content → Reaction → Repeatable Format → Community → Expansion.
SOCIAL FORMATS
Short-form, meme, reaction character, mini episode, daily question, community choice, character POV, behind story.
GAME CORE LOOP
Repeat action, rules, goal, feedback, character/world connection, and a reason to replay.
CONTENT FORMATS
Daily, episodic, choice, collection, challenge, community — formats with repeatable rules.
EXPANSION MAP
Prototype → Social / Content → Character / Story → Interactive → Game / App → Merch → Collaboration. Not every experiment reaches every stage.
The point of an experiment is not to guarantee success in advance — it is to turn an idea into real form at small cost and scope, and learn enough for the next decision.

A shared prototype
Small scope focused on the core hypothesis
Formats and expansion paths can be compared
Real learning for the next decision
Stepwise expansion only after potential is clearer
SCOPE DIFFERENCE
Different starting points than
Character Lab, Campaign, and Product Design.
Character Lab fits when character need is already clear — personality, visual, expression, pose, and usage system. Experimental IP explores which form fits first: character, world, content format, game, interactive, and more. Confirmed character potential can later expand into Character Lab.
Campaign is closer to how to communicate. Experimental IP is closer to what new thing can be made.
Product Design shapes function, structure, and UX for digital products that solve user problems. Experimental IP experiments with cultural ideas, character, story, and interactive content. Combined projects are possible — AI character apps, interactive story products, character-based games, community-driven IP platforms.
CHARACTER LAB
When character need is clear — build personality, visual, expression, pose, and usage system.
EXPERIMENTAL IP
Early-stage exploration of which form fits — then prototype and learn.
CAMPAIGN
Communicate an existing brand or product around a defined goal and period.
PRODUCT DESIGN
Design function, structure, and UX for a real digital product.
Experimental IP does not guarantee virality, views, follower growth, investment, revenue, merch sales, IP hit status, platform selection, game success, PMF, or licensing deals.
TIMELINE
Estimated timeline
There is no fixed standard timeline. Schedule depends on experiment type, prototype level, character / world scope, interaction, development, and testing.
Small concept / visual prototypes often land in a span of weeks, while interactive, AI, or game prototypes can take longer. Timeline is confirmed at quoting.
PROJECT SCOPE
Custom quote and basic scope

IP / RIGHTS · NEXT
Clarify rights around ideas
and experiment outputs.
Experimental IP can create concepts, characters, worlds, prototypes, stories, formats, and other creative assets — so rights should be clear before work begins.
Concept use, character use, commercial use, modification, secondary creation, merchandise, licensing, source files, exclusive / non-exclusive scope, territory, duration, prototype ownership, and final asset rights are decided by contract.
We do not arbitrarily assert copyright, usage, merchandising, or derivative rights. Newon does not guarantee trademark, design-right, patent, or copyright registration outcomes. Separate specialist review may be needed.
CHARACTER LAB
When character need is clear, expand into personality and visual systems.
02VISUAL
Turn experiment outputs into visual assets.
03CAMPAIGN
Connect confirmed IP potential into campaign communication.
04PRODUCT
Combine with Product Design for interactive / app forms.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Scope notice
Exact concept count, prototype level, character / world scope, asset count, development scope, test method, revision rounds, and timeline are confirmed before kickoff.
Experimental IP explores idea potential through early creative work and prototypes. Finished commercial products, full games, animation series, and large IP production are not automatically included.
Interactive prototypes, AI, games, and web / app implementation require separate review of technical scope and cost.
Third-party costs may apply for external AI APIs, platforms, hosting, fonts, stock assets, music, voice, 3D assets, models, and related items.
We do not guarantee views, virality, followers, revenue, investment, IP success, licensing deals, PMF, or platform approval.
Rights are decided by project contract. Newon does not guarantee trademark, patent, copyright registration, or other legal protection outcomes.
FAQ
FAQ
Yes. Even if the idea is not concrete yet, we can define what you want to learn and set an experiment scope.
Characters are possible, but not the only form. We can experiment with worlds, social formats, interactive content, game concepts, AI experiences, and more.
Character Lab fits when character need is already clear. Experimental IP is earlier — exploring which form fits first.
Yes. Not full game development — a small prototype that can test core loop, character, world, and core fun.
Yes. Personality, conversation structure, memory, dynamic story, and related experiences can be reviewed as prototypes. AI quality, cost, and policy depend on implementation conditions.
By scope, we can make publishable results as a social pilot, landing page, or simple digital prototype.
Yes, as additional scope — internal review, small user tests, or pilot response checks by project.
The goal is not always expansion. Refine, pivot, or stop can be the better next decision.
We can review next directions from experiment results and observed response, but we do not guarantee market success or hits.
Concept or goods direction can expand, but manufacturing and production are separate scope.
Rights for concepts, characters, prototypes, and other creative outputs are decided by project contract.
Yes. It is not a fixed package — we shape a custom project from the idea and experiment scope, then quote separately.
There is no fixed starting price. Quote and schedule are confirmed by experiment scope, prototype level, and duration.
If potential is confirmed, it can step into Character Lab, Social Content, Product Design, Game / Interactive, Campaign, Merchandise, and related next projects.
